Did you know that across the country, communities and small business will soon benefit from lower power bills thanks to a $1.5 billion investment in energy efficiency? It's one way that the Clean Energy Future package we negotiated last year is bringing change for the better.
There's $300 million to help low-income households, community groups and councils make their buildings more comfortable and cheaper to run by saving energy. This practical assistance to replace old energy-hungry equipment will lead to cuts in the pollution that drives climate change, and start to build a cleaner energy economy.
There's also a $1.2 billion package rolling out right now to help Australia's manufacturers, including food processers and foundries, upgrade to more energy efficient equipment.
These are two more of the reasons why the Clean Energy Future package will bring a change for the better. To find out more about the start of the Clean Energy Act, check out our other updates.
